Fitbit Inspire 3: My Honest Thoughts on This Little Tracker

Have you ever wondered if you’re moving enough, sleeping well, or generally keeping track of yourself? I used to wonder, and that’s what led me to the Fitbit Inspire 3. I’ve owned several wearable devices in the past, but this one caught my eye with its sleek design and ability to provide comprehensive health management without spending a fortune.

First Impressions

Immediately after purchasing the Inspire 3, it felt different. It was incredibly lightweight and I almost forgot I was wearing it. The strap is soft and comfortable and the overall design is minimalistic. I bought the watch in black and it looks very elegant and goes with everything. The color touchscreen is a big improvement over my previous tracker. It’s bright, clear, and the menus are easy to navigate. The device is well made and not flimsy. I’m looking forward to seeing how it fits into my daily life.

Let’s talk about what this device can do:

Inspire 3 tracks all the basic metrics like steps, distance, and calories burned. But it doesn’t stop there. It also tracks heart rate, sleep stage, blood oxygen saturation, and even skin temperature. I was amazed at the amount of data this little gadget collects. The heart rate tracking seems pretty accurate for walking and light jogging. The sleep tracking is also pretty detailed, showing shallow sleep, deep sleep and REM sleep. It’s interesting to see the sleep graph, and it gives me a good idea of how well rested I am. What I really like is that from the home screen, you can swipe up to see the stats for the day. They are displayed very clearly. I can see the number of steps, current heart rate, calories burned, and even my blood oxygen levels from the previous night. The touch screen is pretty responsive when my hands are dry. If your hands are wet, it’s honestly a bit difficult to use.

Real-world use

For the past few weeks, I’ve been using the Inspire 3 on a daily basis. It has become an indispensable device for recording my walking and running. I also wear it to bed to monitor my sleep. It is so comfortable that I hardly notice its presence. I also really appreciate the notifications feature. It is useful when I am busy. I can also set alarms, use the timer, and do two-minute breathing exercises, which is very helpful when I’m feeling a little stressed. I woke up one morning and discovered that my blood oxygen levels the day before were below normal. This made me be more mindful of my body, and I ended up taking it easy that day.

The Inspire3 has a few drawbacks. The display is bright, but it’s a little hard to see in direct sunlight. You have to find a shady spot to check the stats. Also a little disappointing is the lack of a built-in GPS. If you want to accurately track your run, you’ll have to bring your cell phone with you. This is not a disadvantage, but still worth keeping in mind. We also like the always-on display, but the battery drains quickly. It lasts for five days when it’s on all the time and 10 days when it’s off. Finally, a Fitbit Premium subscription is required to access all features; it comes as a free trial for six months, after which you’ll have to pay to get daily readiness metrics and other detailed reports.

Competitor Comparison

We’ve reviewed a number of other trackers in this price range. They’re cheaper but don’t offer the same level of sophistication and data accuracy; the Fitbit app is also much easier to use; compared to other Fitbit devices like the Charge 5, the Inspire 3 has fewer features but is more affordable; the Charge 5 has built-in GPS and an ECG sensor; the Inspire 3 is more affordable. The Charge 5 has GPS and ECG sensors built in, but those features cost more. For me, the Inspire 3 is a good balance between functionality and price. It does a good job of doing what I need it to do.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I am very happy with the Fitbit Inspire 3. This is a great little tracker that is impressive for its size and price. If you’re looking for a simple and reliable way to track your health and activity, this is a great option. It’s perfect for those who want to track their movement, sleep, and heart rate without having to carry around a bulky smartwatch. If you’re looking for an entry-level fitness tracker or something for daily health monitoring, I’d definitely recommend friends to check it out - the Inspire 3 would definitely be on my wrist.
